Sins of thoughts

Scholar Ali Murtaza Zaidi Sahab is the true Philosopher and Psychologist as well. 

On one of his sermons, he told how sins of souls are more dangerous than sins of the body. In order to explain this, he narrated two beautiful incidents of Agha Rajab Ali khyat. These incidents are written in the book "life of Agha Rajab Ali khyat" written by Ayat ulaALLAH Reh Shairi.

First Incident

He said once Agha Rajab Ali was traveling somewhere. He was carrying his luggage and a new bag also. There were so many camels that were also moving beside him. Suddenly, one of the camels kicked him but it didn't hit the Agha. Rather, it was a close miss.

Agha Rajab Ali was a thinker and spiritual personality, he never took anything casual. He rewinds his past few moments in his mind why did this happen.
Then his instincts told him he was carrying a new bag and paying too much attention to the new bag. He felt that somewhere in his mind he also had few intentions of showing-off this bag.
Then he thought, but I didn't show off anything practically, it was just a mere thought, the same voice again spoke to his mind "that is why were not hit by the kick".

Second Incident

Once Agha Rajab Ali was reciting prayer along with his students. One of his students came a bit late and joined the prayer without saying anything to Agha. After sometime Agah just looked at him and said" keep that table out of the prayer"
He was very ashamed and said sorry to Agha. After the prayer people asked him what was the story behind the table. He said before prayer I bought a new table and was trying to place it somewhere in my house but didn't find any place appropriate for the table. I came to the mosque with the same confused mind having table related thoughts in it. Agha read my mind and said, "clear your mind first, ignore the thoughts of the table and then offer the prayer".

This article shows that we must take care of our thinking just like we take care of our actions, words, and other things. Even the scholar Ali Murtaza Zaidi Sahab says that "Some time sins of thinking are much worst than of body and tongue,e.g shirk and diplomacy are the sins of the mind and they are no doubt very bigger sins".
