Favorite food items of Masoomeen AS 

Imam Musa Kazim (AS) is the 7th Imam and 9th Infallible. He was born on 7th Safar 128 AH (746 AD) and died on 25th Rajab 183 Ah (799 AD).
He had a wonderful personality including humbleness, politeness, wisdom, generosity, and truthfulness. Many people became his followers because of his great behavior towards them.

Favorite food items of Masoomeen AS

Imam Musa Kazim AS once described dining table etiquettes and some of the favorite dishes liked by all Masoomeen AS.
 One of his followers 'Jaffer Asmi' narrated that, on reaching Madina after the pilgrimage, I and my fellows decided to lunch. We saw a garden of dates over there, we placed a big napkin on the ground and began to start the lunch.
In the meanwhile, I saw "Abul-Hassan AS"(Title of Imam Musa Kazim AS) was coming towards us along with few persons holding some food items.
We embraced him fully and then he joined us there.

Washing Hands before the meal

Before starting the meal, Imam AS washed his hands first and asked a person to help us in washing our hands. He started from the right row first, helped them from the first till the last one, then he moved towards the left row and did the same.

Favorite dish of Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W

Imam AS offered us a lump of fried meat cooked in vinegar and said "Bismillah!, eat it because this is the favorite dish of Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W".

Favorite dish of Bibi Pak Syeda (Salam Ullah Eliyha)

Now Imam AS presented us olives in vinegar and said "Bismillah!, eat it because this is the favorite dish of Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W's daughter Bibi Pak Syeda (SA)".

Favorite dish of Hazrat Imam Ali AS

After this Imam AS gave us saffron meat cooked in vinegar and said "Bismillah!, eat it because this is the favorite dish of Hazrat Imam Ali AS".

Favorite dish of Hazrat Imam Hassan AS

After Saffron meat, Imam AS offered us fried curry meat with eggplant vegetables and said "Bismillah!, eat it because this is the favorite dish of Hazrat Imam Hassan AS".

Favorite dish of Hazrat Imam Hussain AS

This time, Imam AS asked us to eat a bread mashed in yogurt and said "Bismillah!, eat it because this is the favorite dish of Hazrat Imam Hussain AS".

Favorite dish of Hazrat Imam Mohammed Baqir AS

Then a spicey cheese came and Imam AS said "Bismillah!, eat it because this is the favorite dish of Hazrat Imam Mohammed Baqir AS".

Favorite dish of Hazrat Imam Jaffer Sadiq AS

The second last dish was fried eggs and said "Bismillah!, eat it because this is the favorite dish of Hazrat Imam Jaffer Sadiq AS".

In the end, a person carrying a dish came up with lentils sweet and Imam AS said "Bismillah!, eat it because this is the favorite dish of mine (Hazrat Imam Musa Kaim AS) ".

Washing hands again

Now, Imam AS washed his hands again and the same as before a person stood up and started helping us in washing our hands. This time he stared from the left side and then moved towards the right row. 

Picking the leftovers from the napkins

We started picking the food leftovers from the napkins but Imam AS stopped us as we are in an open place and this remaining part is for the birds and insect, rather Imam As said: "if we would have been eating a meal inside the room then this practice would be good".

Imam AS Asked a "Question of Thought"

After having such a wonderful lunch, we all became very happy and then Imam AS asked us a question to think about it.

Imam AS said, "How much you are merciful and kind?". We all replied, "we are onto the utmost level of mercifulness and kindness". Imam AS said, "If one of your poor fellow/brothers goes into your house in your absence, asks home members about your wealth baggage, tear the sewing of the baggage and take some money out of it to fulfill his need, what will you think about it?".

We answered him"Yes, surely we will mind it".Then Imam As told us: "Your mercy and kindness towards the poor brothers are on not favorite levels"

Imam Ali (AS) Virtues

Hazrat Imam Ali AS is known for his miracles and virtues. Some of his famous virtues are common to all but few of them are not, those non-popular ones are mentioned here.

Narrated by Abdullah ibne Abbass (RA)

Once Abdullah Ibne Abbass was in the palace of Mawiyah ibne Abu Sufiyan. Few scholars came into the palace and said to Mawiyah "our King of Rome sent us here to demand something from you". 

Mawiyah replied: "go ahead".

They said, "we have brought a little crystal bottle with us and our king wants you to fill it with all the things of this universe".

Mawiyah was surprised by his demand. He said, "How I could fill this little bottle with all the creations of this universe?"

The scholars got disappointed and wanted to go back, suddenly Abdullah Ibne Abbass stopped them and said "Let me solve your problem" Mawiyah allowed him to do so. Abdullah Ibne Abbass filled the bottle with water and said: "Take this to your king now". Mawiyah looked towards Abdulla astonishingly and  Abdulla Said "Yes! everything in this universe is created from the water that is why I filled it with water, now you can see the whole universe is confined in this little bottle.

Mawiyah was amused by Abdullah's knowledge and said: "where did you seek this kind of knowledge?"

Abdullah replied "I got it from the greatest scholar of all-Hazrat Ali AS"

Mawiyah said, "As you are also a scholar, so what is the difference between both of you?"

Abdullah Ibne Abbass replied with a smile "Same like the difference between the water in the bottle and the water of the sea"

Narrated by Baba Fareed Ganj Shaker (R)

Hazrat baba Fareed Ganj Shaker was the pious spiritual personality.

Once he was sitting with his followers, after preaching his followers started dispersing but one of them stood there. Baba Fareed said to him why he is not leaving then he replied: "I want to stay here more ".After some time he asked a question to baba Fareed, "as you are a pious person and so as Imam Ali (AS), so what is the difference between both of you?".

Baba Fareed asked him humbly; "From where you belong and what do you do?". He said, "I worked for a rich man who lives in the village 'Malika Hans', I used to take care of his cows and other animals".

Baba Fareed then said, "So what does your master eat?". He said "A wheat bread", baba again asked and what do you eat? he replied "the same meal -a bread made up of wheat"

Now Baba Fareed again asked, "As both of you having the same meal, so what is the difference between both of you?"

He said: "There is a big difference, my master eats his food but I use to eat food given by him".

Finally, Baba Fareed told him: "Dear! same is the case with me, Ali AS eats his own food (food of knowledge), but I use to take food (food of knowledge) from Imam Ali AS".

Narrated by Imam Ahmed Bin Hambal

Imam Ahmed Bin Hambal is the name famous in non-Shiite sects. Although he is from a different school of thought but still he praised a lot about Imam Ali AS in his preachings.

Once he was sitting among his followers and sons. One of his sons asked: "Dear Father! is it true that people say Imam Ali AS is the separator of Heaven and Hell?".

Imam Hambal said: "Yes that's true". Son asked how and Imam Ahmed replied: "It is Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W's saying, no hypocrite could ever fall in love with Imma Ali AS and none of his lover could be a hypocrite one, so according to this no hypocrite will go into the heaven and any of his lover in hell ".

On such praise, all of them became silent for a while. Then one of his sons again asked: "Please tell us about the most honorable Sahabi of Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W". Imam Ahmed told them few names of Sahaba Karam RA.

Another son asked about the most perfect Sahabi, again Imam Ahmed replied with a few list of Sahabi.

Now this time, one final said "who is the greatest Sahabi out of all'. Imam again came with the list of few greatest Sahaba Karam.

After hearing this all, they said "Father! haven't you recently praised a lot about Imam Ali AS, don't you find him an honorable, perfect and greatest Sahabi at all? "

Imam Ahmed Bin Hamabl then smiled and said "You asked about the Sahabi e Rasool Khuda S.A.W.W that is why I told you all the names of Sahaba Karam RA, but if you would ask about "a person who favored Islam a lot" then my answer would have been, Imam Ali AS"

According to the Masomeen AS, Prophet Noah's real name was "Abdul Ghafar", "Abdosh Shakoor", "Adul Malik" and "Abdul Ala". Noah was his title name which means "a mourn" because he mourned about 500 years.
He is also known as "Adam Sani" the second Adam. Reason, the human generation again started from him after Prophet Adam(PBUH).

Prophet Noah (PBUH) and his children

Hazrat Imam Ali Naqi AS narrated, all Human population is divided among different colors and groups due to the sons of Prophet Noah(PBUH).
Prophet Noah (PBUH) had three sons, Yafis(Japheth), Hazrat Sam AS (Shem), and Ham. Turkish, Chinese, and (Yajooj Majooj) all are the descendants of Yafis. All white people are because of Hazrat Sam (AS) and all-black are the children of Ham.

Storm of Prophet Noah(PBUH)

Prophet Noah(PBUH) preached for 950 years but none became his follower. Meanwhile, he built an ark to rescue the good ones from this incident. With the passage of time, he saw people were becoming more disbelievers than ever. Finally, he prayed to God to destroy them and thus God sent a huge Strom that ruined everything. His wife and son who were also non-obedient, also get drowned.

Regarding this storm, people once asked Hazrat Imam Raza AS (the 10th Infallible) why God destroyed innocent people in this storm?. Imam AS asked how? they said why kids were also drowned in this storm?. Imam AS replied: "before this incident, there were no kids long 40 years ago, women became infertile long ago".

Conversation between Satan and Prophet Noah(PBUH)

One day a scholar came to Hazrat Imam Mohammed Baqir AS and said: " O Imam AS, is there satan not an enemy of Prophet?" Imam AS replied "yes of course!" then he said, "Did ever a satan talk with any prophet? Imam AS replied of yes. Again he questioned, "if so then who was that Prophet ?"Imam AS replied: " His name was Prophet Noah (PBUH)". He said "please tell me, the conversation held place between both of them.

Then Imam Baqir AS narrated the conversation:

When the storm came, it destroyed each and everything on earth except the people of the ark. During the storm, satan swam in the water and flew in the air by changing its shape.
When the storm ended, the Prophet Noah (PBUH)'s ark reached on the shore, only 80 men survived out of so many. When satan found that figure, he laughed and came to Prophet Noah (PBUH), said " O Prophet! you made my work easy". Prophet Noah (PBUH) replied "How". He said, "It is my work to kill humans on earth, and with your bad prayer, you see thousands and millions of men have died."
Prophet Noah(PBUH) became said and thus satan gave him a gift of advice in return. He said "As I am an invisible creature, nobody knows where I am, so take a piece of advice, you will find me in three places for sure:
1- when someone is in anger
2-when a person is willing to give charity
3-when a boy and a girl are alone"

Bibi Umel Baneen AS

There are many women in Islam who have taken their own life sacrificed and died with great honor. Islam also regards such brave women and never parishes their name away from the minds of true Muslims.

Out of so many, the most important name is "Bibi Umel Baneen AS".She is known as the bravest woman in Islam. She sacrificed her 4 sons Abbass ibne Ali, Jaffer ibne Ali, Abdullah ibne Ali, and Usman ibne Ali in the battle of Kerbala. She became the wife of Imam ALI AS after the death of Janab Syeda A.S. People recites her name in their prayers as she was a very pious lady indeed. 

Real name and family background

Her title was “Baneen”  meaning "Mother of Sons "but her actual name was “Fatima kalabiyah”. She belonged from a very brave clan 'Banu kilab' that is why she is called as “Fatima Kalibiya” before marriage. His father's name was Huazam al-Kalabiyah and he was a very re-known brave soldier of his clan. He was so brave that people engrave his name on their swords. Yes, she inherited bravery from her father.

Her Marriage

After the death of Bibi Pak Syeda Fatima SA, Hazrat Ali AS asked his brother Aqeel Bin Abi Talib, to search a clan famous for bravery and faithfulness. The reason behind this search was Imam Ali AS wanted a brave and faithful child from a woman of those qualities.

So, Aqeel AS suggested the very name of clan "Al-kalabiya" for this purpose. Imam AS sent his proposal to that family. They happily accepted Imam AS''s proposal and married their daughter Fatima Al-kalabiya AS with Imam Ali AS.

Her real importance

Since she was the mother of a great son “Abbass ibn Ali” her importance doubles. Abbass ibn Ali is also known as "Ghazi Abbass Almadar".He was not only the brother of Imam Hussain AS from another mother but a loyal fellow as well. He was the commander of Imam Hussain AS's army in the battle of Kerbala. He lifted the flag of Imam's army that is why called "Almadar". He was a very brave person as his both hands were cut off in the battle of Kerbala. The saddest part is that when his hands were cut off, he came down to earth from the rein of the horse without his hands. He died in the battle of Kerbala but died with great honor.
In his remembrance of his bravery, every Muslim who is his real follower places a high black flag on their rooftops.

Her poetry

She used to recite poetry in the respect of Imam Hussain A.S after Imam’s death. Her poetry was very sad that people started to cry after hearing it.

She says: " o people coming from Kerbala! , tell me, "River Farat" is still occupied with the soldier of enemies?

or

did anyone sprinkle water on the graves of martyrdom (of Kerbala battle)?".

Her Love for Imam Hussain AS

When Imam Hussain AS was killed in Kerbala and she got to know this, she mourned a lot. She made four imaginary graves of her sons and one for the Imam Hussain AS. She never sat beside the grave of sons but used to sit near the imaginary grave of Imam Hussain AS and cried a-lot there.

She said "o my sons! I won't cry upon you, because your mother is alive but I will cry for Imam Hussain AS whose mother is dead.
On her death bed, before she died, she said to Hazrat Bibi Fizah RA (one of the maidservants of Bibi Syeda SA) 

"O Fizah always remember one thing "ASALAMO ALIYKA YA ABA ABDILLAH HIL HUSSAIN"

Reason of Death

She died because of her real true love for Imam Hussain AS. She was spreading Imam AS's message by her poetry and becoming a threat to the governor of Madina "Merwan Bin Hakam". Merwan was the enemy of Imam Hussain AS and thus poisoned the Bibi Umel Baneen AS.

A scholar's saying about Bibi Umel Baneen AS

An Irani scholar says that "Whenever I got stuck into some difficulty, I use to recite 100 times Darood Shareef, dedicates this to Bibi Umel Baneen AS, and thus, I come out from troubles easily".
