Khadijah bint khuwaylid characteristics

When Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W had used to go for worshipping Allah S.W.T in the 'Cave of Hira', in the meanwhile Hazrat Bibi Khadijah SA had used to bring food for Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W by climbing up the huge mountains of Jabal-al-Noor. Those mountains were very huge and full of hard rocks. Despite this difficulty, she used to bring her own cooked food for Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W.

After seeing such love for Prophet S.A.W.W, once Angel Jibrail AS came to Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W and said: " God is saying that pay my Salam to Khadijah SA".

After reading this heavenly Hadith, we must know about some of her great characteristics:

1. Khadijah-Salam Ullah Alaiha   

People do ask why they use "Salam Ullah Alaiha" along with Bibi Khadijah's name?. The very answer is explained above in the mentioned Hadith of Sahi Muslim. If Allah S.W.T is paying Salam to that person then why not we do this.

2. Love of Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W 

(Sahi Muslim Hadith)

"Prophet S.A.W.W. said: Khadijah's love has been given to me in the form of food(Rizq)".SubhanAllah 

Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W's whole personality is the one great form of Tawhid. 

Quranic verse:

"Dear Prophet(S.A.W.W.)!! please say it: my prayer, my Salah, my life, my death everything is for me". 

The heart of Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W had no love other than Allah S.W.T. It means that whoever lies in the heart of Prophet S.A.W.W is actually a righteous person. 
If Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W had a love for Hazrat Ali AS it means Ali AS is the right person. If Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W had a love for Hasnain Karimain AS, time showed us that Hazrat Imam Hussnain AS were the Nobel persons. 
Similarly, if Prophet S.A.W.W loves Hazrat Khadijah SA, it means she must be a virtuous person. Keeping Prophet S.A.W.W hadith in mind "Khadijah's love has been given to me in the form of food(Rizq)".For us, it means that loving Hazrat Khadijah S.A is the action the same as we are on the way of God.

3. Hadith about Khadijah

One of the most beautiful Hadiths about her: "Dear Khadija S.A!, Allah S.W.T feels proud of you in front of his angels many times a day".

4. Pride of all Imam AS 

Many Imam AS took her name as an honor and introduced himself by the name of Hazrat Khadija S.A. Like;

1. Imam Hussain AS called himself as the son of Khadija S.A in the Ziyrat-e-Warisa.
2. In the Sermon of Imam Sajad AS in the castle of Syria, he introduced himself as the son of Khadija S.A.
3. In Due-Nudba, Imam Sahib Zaman AJT called as the son of Hazrat Bibi Khadija SA.

4. Great Charity of Hazrat Khadijah S.A

She sent a lot for Islam, no one could even parallel to her charity.
Even when she got married she said to Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W: "My all wealth is yours, this home is yours and I am your just a Kaneez(Maid)". She had given too much even when she died she had left no shroud for herself. Prophet S.A.W.W gave her his own dress in the shroud.

It is narrated by 1st caliph Abu Baker Sadique that when this lady Hazrat Bibi Khadija S.A gave charity to Prophet S.A.W.W, she had given charity as much huge as a mountain. It was just like a wall, even a person standing on one side could not be able to see through on the other side. She gave ample full of gold, silver, dirham, and dinar to the Prophet S.A.W.W and said: "Dear Prophet Rasool  Allah S.A.W.W!! it is all yours, you are free to use it as you want".

6. Hazrat Khadija as a Role Model

Surely, her life is a paragon for all of us, but how to follow her path?. The answer is simple, we can't be able to become as pious as her. We can only learn her way of livings and adopt her deeds in our lives.
One of the aspects of her life is clear to us is that she was the richest lady of the era. So how did she become the most charitable person of Islam?.

• How did she become wealthy?

Hazrat Khadijah S.A did a wonderful and successful trade at that time when society was male dominating. It is written in books that when Hazrat Khadija S.A used to send trade caravan, she used to go to Kabbah, perform tawaf, hold the vail of Kabaah, and says:  

"O God of Ibrahim, God of this house! Please bestow your blessings on my wealth and on my trade caravan".

• How to Improve your wealth?

The same act is recommended by different scholars of our times that if someone is having a problem from a wealth point of view, he should perform tawaf and dedicate this tawaf to the mother of Syeda Fatima S.A-the Bibi Khadijah S.A. If someone can't be able to go to the Kabbah, he must offer two Rakat Namaz, dedicate this to Bibi Khadijah S.A and make a prayer like this "O God! Please bless me the same wealth as you had given to Hazrat Bibi Khadijah S.A so that I may do the same charity as she did for Islam, Prophet Mohammed S.A.W.W and for others.
